ABOUT GLOBAL MENTORING WALK
Join the 5th edition of the Global Mentoring Day event in Amsterdamse Bos, Amsterdam on 10th of March, 2024, organised by the Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands Society in partnership with Vital Voices. Each year the Global Mentoring Walks convenes established women leaders to mentor emerging women leaders as they walk together in their communities. The Society of Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands has been organising the Global Mentoring Walk in Amsterdam since 2017 and with each subsequent edition the number of the participants grew significantly. These women are different, but they are guided by a shared belief: power expands the moment it is shared. Through their efforts, thousands of women and girls came together across cultures, generations, religions, countries and identities to bring this message to life. Their collective commitment to this principle has enabled thousands of participants to come together, bridging gaps and building bonds. The impact of these connections is profound, sparking personal and professional growth, fostering understanding, and amplifying the collective voice of women.
Together, we can continue to amplify the message that when power is shared, the entire world benefits.

ABOUT THE ORGANISERS
This edition of the event is organised in the Netherlands as an exclusive partnership between Polish Professional Women Society and Vital Voices.
Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands Society
Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands is a platform uniting Polish female professionals and entrepreneurs living and working in the Netherlands. An initiative with a mission to empower women of Polish descent by providing support, training, and tools to elevate careers, build network and grow as professionals. What unites its members, apart from the country of origin and a place of residence, is passion, curiosity about the world and a positive mindset.
Change of career and moving countries creates ample opportunities for personal and professional development. Seeking out new challenges such as an expat assignment or starting a new company abroad makes it possible to gain new experiences and skills. Supporting the ambition to grow and develop, the society provides with tailor-made training and workshops, as well as networking events for business women. The society supports women of Polish descent with training and tools to advance their careers, build their networks and grow as professionals. It frequently organises events including themed breakfasts, workshops and entrepreneurs’ evenings in Amsterdam.
Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands operates in Amsterdam as a members-only society. Both the organisers and the attendees of the events are women of Polish descent currently living in the Netherlands. Our members are representatives of various industries that have a successful business career abroad. The members of the society are professionally active as executives in international companies, entrepreneurs successfully running their own business or academics conducting scientific research. The majority of Polish Professional Women hold university degrees and are respected as specialists in their respective fields of expertise. The organisation’s registered members have a wide range of personal contacts and an established business network.

Vital Voices Global Partnership
Vital Voices is an organization founded in 1997 by Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright with a desire to support other women’s “global voice” professionally, legally and politically. Vital Voices works with leaders in human rights, economic opportunity, political and public leadership and leadership development. Serving as a “venture catalyst,” Vital Voices identifies leaders with a daring vision for change and partners with them to make that vision a reality. It provides connections, increased capacity, a peer network, financial support, skills training, and increased visibility for their work, which ranges from gender-based violence and climate justice to economic inequities and political disempowerment, and more.
Now celebrating 25 years since its founding, Vital Voices Global Partnership has directly invested in more than 20,000 change-makers across 184 countries and territories since its inception in 1997. Driven by the universal truth that women are the key to progress in their communities and nations cannot move forward without women in leadership positions, Vital Voices has provided early support for leaders who went on to become Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, U.S. Youth Poet Laureates, Prime Ministers, award-winning innovators, pioneering human rights defenders, and breakthrough social entrepreneurs.
In an effort to advance and expand this work, in 2022 Vital Voices opened the doors to the world’s first global embassy for women, the Vital Voices Global Headquarters for Women’s Leadership —a first-of-its-kind space that allows for convening, innovation, planning, and action — all in the pursuit of tackling the world’s greatest challenges.
Vital Voices invests in leaders because they take on the responsibility to improve their communities, their countries, and their societies. By exhibiting visionary thinking and taking risks to innovate, they strengthen laws, create jobs, change cultures and defend freedoms, making change that ripples out into the global community. The organisation partners with women who practice leadership that unites and inspires people. Each leader in their global network believes in mentoring the rising generation and shares her knowledge, experience, and influence with others. Its investment in one leader has an impact on thousands more.
Vital Voices know that one intervention is not enough to support women leaders who are on the frontlines of change in their communities. Making long-term investments in the women leaders who have the vision and commitment to make a lasting change means offering continued support. The organisation works with women leaders over many years, providing them with the technical skills, visibility and partnerships they need to continue to push for progress.
